Tarantella Night

A Healing Dance Journey through Italy

Celebrate Italian American Heritage Month with a vibrant evening of movement, music, and healing. Join renowned dance artist Anna Harsh, who trained extensively in Italy, for a one-of-a-kind Tarantella Dance Workshop — an experience rooted in tradition, rhythm, and soul.

Explore the ancient healing roots of Tarantella, a traditional Southern Italian folk dance once used to "shake out" emotional and spiritual blockages. You’ll learn a variety of Tarantella styles from different regions of Italy, understand the legends behind the dances (including the famous "bite of the tarantula"), and how these joyful, rhythmic dances were used for communal healing and celebration.

This one-night workshop combines storytelling, cultural insight, and embodied movement to connect you with your ancestry, your inner rhythm, and your joy. No prior dance experience needed—just a love of music, heritage, and expressive movement.

What to Expect:

  • Guided movement warm-up
  • Learn 2–3 regional Tarantella dances
  • Historical storytelling & folk music immersion
  • Group healing circle using rhythm and motion
  • A cultural dance experience unlike any other!
  • Wear a long skirt or flowing clothing if you have it.

“Space is limited to preserve the sacred circle and energy of this experience.”
