Restorative (30 Minutes)
This class added to our Yoga I will calm the mind from your busy days. The movement of this restorative practice will be slow and the focus about surrendering to the pose. Attention to staying mindful and in the present moment will help us bring that connection to our breath, our body and our minds. Poses will be held longer, and props will be used. This class is perfect on its own or added to the end of Yoga I or Yoga II for a little extra relaxation

Kundalini Yoga is a combination of moderately paced warmups, a KRIYA, which is a set of exercises combined with a mantra (chanting/breathwork), mudras (hand positions) and meditations. All done for a particular reason, meaning classes are unique and customized to what the teacher feels guided to present. A class might be focused on releasing fear so all parts of it will entail all of these combined movements, meditations, and mantras intertwined with uplifting music. Cacao Ceremonies are a sacred space where we celebrate the ancient plant medicine Cacao which has been used for centuries to open the heart and aid us in getting into our “feels”. In our current culture we have adapted to moving through life in a mental focused frenzy. These ceremonies can help to balance out the mental with the emotional and bring us back to a state of harmony and inner peace. A space much more conducive to living an intentional, purposeful, life.
The setting is peaceful and serene allowing for ease and flow, the perfect combination for expanding on or arriving at an intention you’d like to embody in your life.
What you can expect
First we Bless the Cacao acknowledging and honoring it’s sacred nature, spirit and the traditional role this plant medicine has played in native ceremonies all over the world.
Opening we start with a short grounding meditation focusing on the breath, to encourage connection to your inner landscape and the group.
Then my favorite part, Drinking the Cacao, we slowly drink the cacao, focusing on its taste, texture, and the sensation of consuming it. This is done mindfully, in silence, to fully appreciate the experience.
Followed by a Meditation and Inner Journey, after drinking the cacao, you are invited to lie down or sit comfortably while being guided through a meditation letting the cacao aid in opening the heart and facilitate deep introspection, emotional release, and spiritual insight.
Expression and Sharing following the mediation, you are invited to express or share anything about your experience. This can be done through verbal sharing, journaling, or creative expression like drawing or movement. This step is helpful for integrating the insights gained during the ceremony.
Finally, we Close the circle concluding with a closing ritual, for grounding in your experience and incorporating the lessons, insights and learnings into your everyday life.
